Objective的內容是種索求, 通常內容寫你想要什麼. 可是在雇主觀點看來這一點價值都沒有: 若你沒有我想要的技能, 為什麼要聘你? 所以還不如寫一段總結你經歷和你未來想要往什麼方向邁進(並在履歷的寫法中秀出來) 寫summary 的方法如下：

Summary (履歷摘要) 寫法: (取自 Karen M Kowal 建議。) 

• What type of (professional) are you? 你是什麼樣的（專業人士）？
• How many years (months) of previous work experience do you have? 你有多少年（或月）的工作經驗？
• Doing what? 做什麼？
• What do you specialize in? 你的專長是什麼？
• Seeking an internship or full time position in the area of ______ （在_________ 領域尋找實習機會或正職工作
• Is there something you are passionate about? (In case you don't have a speciality) 你對什麼題材／領域／部分有熱情？（若你沒有專精部分）
• What are the 4 or 6 things you do especially well? (USE KEYWORDS from job description) 從工作描述／內容中列出4-6項你做得很好的事
• 最後，試著把這些回答整理成一篇關於自己的求職摘要，使用越多工作描述／內容內的關鍵字詞越好。1-3句內 (不要占太多版面)  

範例 1: Electrical Power and Energy Systems graduate with a focus on distribution and transmission. Interested in a career as an Electronics Application Engineer. Previous internship experience in semi-conductor manufacturing and have an in-depth knowledge of: Power Electronics Design, Power Stage & Controller, Trouble Shooting Electrical Systems, Power Economic Dispatch

(看以上範例可以總結出: 這個是個電機系的學生履歷, 他點出了他在深入學習什麼 (distribution and transmission), 對什麼職位感興趣 (Electronics Applicatoin Engineer), 也配上相對的實習/工作經驗來提供給雇主參考. 這些內容比一般只說自己想要什麼的 objective內容有所不同. 把自己的利用價值總結的越清楚, 越好.) 

範例 2:  System Software Developer | 4+ years of work experience in multi-core OS kernels, drivers, virtualization and Unikernel, particularly with mobile devices and servers including development with parallelization skills for energy efficiency and cloud computing frameworks for applications.

(以上範例告訴我們: 這是個系統軟體工程師, 已有在業界工作四年以上的資歷, 經手過些什麼... 但似乎沒有對未來方向著墨. 根據他已有的經歷, 他可以試著再寫一些關於他想要從事的方向提供雇主參考.)
